Made: The Indie Emporium Shop
A shop full of handmade goods from local artists and makers. When I first wrote this list, Made was downtown at 5th and Boston and also ran craft classes and workshops.
Tulsa Disc Golf
Tulsa loves disc golf. Between McClure Park, Haikey Creek, and the rest, there are somewhere between 15 and 20 courses around the metro, and a big, friendly local scene to go with them.
Oxley Nature Center
Nine miles of trails in Mohawk Park, right by the zoo. The interpretive building has hands-on exhibits and a wildlife viewing area. They also have free all-terrain track chairs now, so more people can get out on the trails.
Hank’s Hamburgers
Burgers, fries, and shakes since 1949, on Admiral. Hank’s has gotten attention from Food Network and the New York Times, and it’s earned it. Really hungry? Try the Big Okie, a one-pound, four-patty burger with four slices of cheese. Open Tuesday through Saturday.
