Tally’s Good Food Cafe
Widely held as the best chicken fried steak in Tulsa, and about as Tulsa as it gets. Look for the neon and red awnings at 11th and Yale, on Route 66. There’s a second location on South Sheridan now. Try the cabbage rolls.
Mother Road Market
Tulsa’s first food hall, at 11th and Lewis on Route 66. Lots of local food vendors under one roof, so everyone in your group gets what they want. Out back there’s a patio with live music and a Route 66 themed mini golf course. Open Tuesday through Sunday.
Boutique Shops on Cherry Street
Cherry Street is known for food and nightlife, but it’s a great place to shop too. Bookstores, vintage clothing, jewelry, and lots of little local shops on 15th Street between Peoria and Utica. Plan to spend a couple of hours.
Chandler Park
A big county park on the west side, out near the refineries. People come for the rock formations, the disc golf, and the pavilions. The county has been fixing it up, including work to make the trails more accessible.
