Chimera
Doing breakfast in the Tulsa Arts District? Chimera is the place. It’s one of my favorite coffee spots downtown, but the breakfast burritos, named after Sonic Youth songs, are what you should order. It’s a daytime spot now, open 7am to 4pm.
Devour: the Teenage Riot burrito or the Daydream Nation breakfast bowl.
New York Bagel Cafe
You might remember this Brookside bagel shop as Old School Bagel. Same place, new name. It’s still a good reason to get up before noon on a Saturday, especially if a whole menu of sandwiches on fresh bagels sounds good to you.
Get: any breakfast sandwich on a fresh bagel.
Savoy
Savoy sits at 61st and Sheridan, one of the best food corners in Tulsa if you ask me. The breakfast menu is big and the quality is high, whether you get the breakfast casserole or one of their cinnamon rolls.
Dig: cinnamon rolls (made fresh every day) and eclairs (Fridays and Saturdays).
First Watch
The breakfast chain left Tulsa for a while and came back in 2024 with a new spot at 10111 E 81st St. The menu does breakfast a little differently than most, and I haven’t been let down yet.
Feast on: a power bowl, the French toast, or the Traditional.
